Märta Måås-Fjetterström founded her own textile workshop in 1919 in the small town of Båstad, Sweden. Her workshop became known as "MMF" and gained international recognition for its high-quality, handcrafted textiles. Måås-Fjetterström's designs were characterized by a fusion of traditional Swedish weaving techniques with modern aesthetics, often drawing inspiration from nature, Swedish folk art, and historical motifs.


One of her most famous creations is the "Kurbits" rug, which features a bold and vibrant design inspired by traditional Swedish decorative painting. Her rugs often incorporated intricate patterns, rich colors, and a deep connection to Swedish cultural heritage.
