[An album containing over mounted 100 original watercolor views of landscape and architecture in Great Britain and Europe, executed by at least three different hand, all members of the Copleston family (?], some of whom lived in Hurstpierpoint in Sussex, England]. (Some tears to the album leaves.) Original half cloth over textured paper-covered boards (some rubbed).

An excellent selection, unusually, this survey features the work of a talented family of amateur artists. There seem to be three main artists involved: Jane Ellen Copleston (b.1849); Eliza Ann Copleston (1855-1930) and Miss May G. Copleston (from Pierpoint Lodge, Hurstpierpoint, Sussex). There is at least one other artist involved: M.R. Hart or Harte. The locations include Sussex, Lake District, Brighton, Switzerland, Scotland, Sark (Channel Islands), Warwickshire, Dorset, Cornwall, Italy, Wiltshire, and Devon.
