In Flying #3, Alexander Petrov creates a fantasy world that is characterized by aggression. Petrov uses deep, saturated, seemingly angry tones of yellow, burnt sienna, charcoal, and black. His composition may be construed to depict a man in the center of chaos. The man blows white wisps into the air, creating a tornado-like scene. The man looks on at the destruction, yet stands unaffected. ~ Nicole Garnett, Student at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Master of Arts in Art Business.
