Katerina Autet, born in Moscow and residing in Paris, is an award winning writer, whose (French-language) novel "La Chute de la Maison Whyte" (The Fall of the House of Whyte) (2020 Grand Prix des Enquêteurs) is, well, art law-inspired. The main character in this page-turner mystery is a Brooklyn-based art attorney who is asked to handle a criminal case as a defense attorney for his friend, accused of murder. We will not spoil the story by saying that provenance research plays a big part in figuring out who stole that certain old master painting. Get your autographed copy of the book, try to figure out who did it and why, and enjoy a 30-minute talk with the author.
