Lot 19 Damianus van der Goude (workshop of Frans Floris) after Gerard David Netherlandish, 16th Century The Adoration of the Magi (1555) oil on canvas (previously transferred from panel) 66 x 74 inches CONDITION: good Relined with new stretchers; a few old well repaired tears visible from the front; under blacklight, overpainting, reglazing, and inpainting, notably to the figure of Balthazar, the figures of the Virgin and Christ with minor inpainting. A vertical line and a horizontal line more visible under blacklight, possibly from having been folded in the past or old stretcher marks. Old rabbet rubbing evident across the bottom and edges.Small scattered and minor losses to the painting surfaces, typical craquelure.
