Description
An antique Baroque period textile fragment executed in mixed textiles over a plain foundation matrix, featuring an ornate symmetrical composition of architectural arches or stylized floral shapes rendered in muted gold, crimson, and pale cream threads, the reverse of the primary panel bearing a historical handwritten cursive ink inscription reading "W.M. Randolph Hearst Coll. / Present to American Ambassador From W.R.H."
