A Venetian Rococo style painted and parcel-gilded secretaire bookcase in two parts, the upper section featuring an asymmetrical double-arched cresting rail adorned with pierced scrollwork above a pair of shaped doors opening to a shelved interior, the lower section constructed with a slant-front writing slope revealing a fitted theater of drawers and cubbies over a serpentine commode base containing three long graduated drawers accented by cast brass foliate pull handles, with all exterior surfaces decorated with a salmon-orange ground and hand-painted polychrome floral bouquets framed by gilt rocaille borders

Overall Good condition; scattered flaking, chipping, and material loss to the painted and parcel-gilded surface finishes exposing underlying gesso layers, with typical superficial abrasions to the wood frame edges, minor interior oxidation to the metal hardware fixtures, and an original manufacturer paper label from I.M.M. identifying the piece as a Tromba rosso nuovo modello affixed to the back panels
