Description
An archaistic Chinese cast bronze ritual wine vessel (jue) designed with a deep u-shaped body flanked by a single loop handle springing from an integrated abstract animal mask, a wide spouted rim opposed by a sharp projecting tail and surmounted by two thick vertical posts terminating in umbrella-shaped caps, the central exterior register worked in low relief with traditional stylized taotie mask decorative configurations, all raised upon three out-spread tapered and blade-like legs

Good condition; a dense, multi-layered patination consisting of thick crusty green malachite encrustations, powdery turquoise corrosion spots, and reddish-brown cuprite underlayers over a weathered cast body, showing minor superficial scuffs and typical soil residues embedded within the deep recesses
