Description
An antique Edwardian rectangular sterling silver trinket or vanity counter box featuring an inset oval polychrome enamel portrait miniature on the hinged lid depicting a woman in a wide-brimmed hat, the interior base and lid stamped with a complete set of British hallmarks including the three-wheat-sheaves town mark for Chester, the lion passant indicating sterling silver purity, and the date letter "F" for the year 1906 alongside a maker's mark, with a total approximate weight of 110.7 grams
