An English George II pier mirror featuring a rectangular antique glass plate within an inset molded inner frame enclosed by a mahogany structure with rough hand-planed backing boards, the swan-neck architectural pediment terminating in carved rosettes and centering a prominent foliate cartouche crest above lateral descending fruit garlands

Condition

Good overall antique condition; silvering degradation, foxing, and ghosting across the mirror plate, with widespread craquelure, small losses to the underlying gesso, and rubbing to the gold leaf gilding along the high points of the carved cresting and lateral foliate pendants
