'Little Orphan Annie' debuted in the New York Daily News in August, 1924; Harold Gray was its creator. It appeared daily in syndicated newspapers. The original comic strip was named for a 1885 poem written by James Whitcomb Riley, titled "Little Orphant Annie".

After the 1979 musical 'Annie' appeared on Broadway, Leonard Starr revived the comic strip and retitled it 'Annie'. Starr continued to successfully draw Annie until his retirement in 2000.

Comic strips in this binder are from the Leonard Starr era, circa 1979.

3-ring 'Burger King' Binder, was a give-away item, also from the 1970s-- it is clean, sharp, in almost new condition.
