An antique Caucasian Kuba rug of rectangular form featuring a vertical arrangement of six large-scale "Lesghi star" medallions in madder red and indigo on an ivory field, with each medallion containing nested geometric and cruciform motifs, all surrounded by a primary "running dog" border and several narrow guard borders and finished with short wool fringes at both ends, bearing an aesthetic consistent with nineteenth-century regional production, measures 6 ft x 3 ft 10 in

Condition
The rug remains in overall fair condition, exhibiting generalized pile wear, localized areas of thinning to the foundation, and minor fading to the natural dyes consistent with age, alongside visible fraying and minor losses to the overcast selvedges and end fringes, would benefit from a cleaning
