Matches the description of the smaller-scale Penelope auctioned in 1882 from the John Wolfe Collection, found in the Catalogue of Mr. John Wolfe's Gallery of Valuable Paintings (George A. Leavitt & Co, New York, 1882) pg 22, lot 65
