Description
famille rose porcelain punch bowl with an anti-Jacobite scene depicting a Scotsman on a latrine, a plaque beside him reading 'O Sawnoy why leavst thou thy Nelly to moan', on his other side is inscribed the Latin motto of the Royal Stuart dynasty of Scotland 'Nemo me impune lacessit' and the reverse with a poem and the details of the engraving on which the design is based, each side framed with a garland of fruiting and blossoming flowers and foliage, the interior rim with wheat husk boarder
