O'Neill, [John A.], engraver. Lieut. Gen. U. S. GRANT. New York: C.B. Richardson, publisher, [c1864]; "Office of United States Service Magazine." Approx. 13 3/4 x 17 3/4 inches (paper size).

The rarely seen engraving ("superb portrait") issued with a booklet by Henry Coppee, titled, Sketch of the Life of Lieut.-Gen. U.S. Grant. [New York: Published by C.B. Richardson, 1864.]

According to OCLC, the imprint reads:

Henry Coppee & Richardson, editor and publisher of the magazine, used this publication and engraving to help promote their new magazine. They went on to issue a number of publications relating to the Civil War, including the book Grant and His Campaigns: A Military Biography (N.Y. 1866). One of our images is a screenshot selection from The Papers of Ulysses S. Grant (p324) which mentions the engraving.
