Curtis Widem’s photograph was taken with an iPhone, and it utilizes paper and plastic, among other materials, to create an evocative interplay of shadows and light. Widem captured this photograph by holding his iPhone in his left hand and running around to “catch the moment.”
Of his photograph, Widem says, “As I looked at the shadows twisting and twining around each other, it reminded me of two very important people who met on this day and not only changed the course of music, but also transformed the world. The shadows remind me of birth, life, creativity and conflict. Hence, a very apt title.”
