[U.S. Election of 1932] A scrap-book, manuscript title "Social Scrap Book No.3 Hugh Jones 9y. 1932". Small folio (11 5/8 x 8 inches; 295 x 203mm). 21 leaves, the majority with mounted newspaper cuttings or folded pages, either undated or dating from the 4th - 9th November, in addition there are two additional pieces of election ephemera: 1. 'The League Bulletin ... Election issue' for 'November 3, 1932' issued by the League of Women Voters of St. Louis, and a small explanatory braodside 'Constitutional Ballot / Election, Tuesday, November 8. 1932' which sets out to explain three proposed constitutional amendments.  (Scrap-book leaves toned, newspapers generally fragile). Original red card wrappers. (lightly soiled and dog-eared).

A charming memento of a momentus event: the election of FDR and the ousting of Hoover.
