The 1865 edition of Horace Greeley’s important history of the U. S. Civil War and slavery, published in Hartford, rebound with the extraordinary large Folding map in a pocket at the end of book 2. Text is clean; engravings toned, some foxing; transfers to opposing pages, as usual. The map, which is often missing, is clearly worn, taped, brittle, and a in need of attention, with chipping and loss at folds— we have opted not to open it for fear of further damage. Sold As Is.
