Description
An Akari model BB2-K1 light sculpture designed by Isamu Noguchi, featuring a tall structured shade of fine silk with an integrated red hanging cord assembly signed with the artist's red sun and moon emblem near the rim, supported by a slender central wooden column terminating in a heavy spherical dark-finished metal base stamped "Made in Japan" on the underside and fitted with an integrated metal pull-chain switch mechanism, measuring 26 3/8 x 10 1/8 x 10 1/8 inches

Good overall condition; light fixture is in working condition at the time of cataloging, with an elongated structural tear running along the upper rim seam of the silk shade fabric, a separate localized burn or stain discoloration spot, a minor puncture to the lower body of the silk field
