About this Lot
Description
All current work Salmagundi lots are professionally framed. Orizaba". (Salmagundi Club Collection) The tops of palm trees against a view of Mt. Orizaba and a blue sky. Signed, on lower right by JOS. MARGULIES. Watercolor on Paper. Image Size: 12.63" x 21.75" x 0" Joseph Margulies was an Austrian-born painter and printmaker in America. From 1922 to 1925, he studied at the Art Students League under printmaker Joseph Pennell. In addition, Joseph's art training extended to the National Academy of Design, Cooper Union, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and also apprenticed with Maynard Waltner in Vienna.
