"Offerered for sale by Ian & Yvonne Halford of 'Quathlamba Books', for more information please contact them via y.halford@btinternet.com."

Specimen Stamps and Stationery of Great Britain. This book brings together the information currently available on the Specimen and Cancelled overprints and underprints found on both the adhesive postage, telegraph and revenue stamps and also on the stamped stationery.

Divided into two parts, the first written by Marcus Samuel covers the adhesive stamps and sets of the reasons for the occurrence of the different overprint types known. A very considerable amount of newly published information is included and details of the composition of various ' finds ' of Specimen material are given as well as illustrations of many of the Post Office Circulars sent out to inform Postmasters of impending changes in denomination of design etc.

Part two written by Alan Huggins describes the corresponding stamped stationery and again much new information has been incorporated, many items being illustrated for the first time.

This book can be recommended with confidence to students of this area of philately which has a rapidly growing following and will remain a standard work of reference for the forseable future.
