Lot 364
Pair of Capodimonte Style Porcelain Single-Light Table Lamps (20th Century)
Description

A pair of Capodimonte style porcelain single-light table lamps, each designed as a twin-handled classical urn featuring molded high-relief mythological scenes of bathing figures and putti within coastal landscapes, flanked by scrolling foliate serpent-form handles and surmounted by a brass single-bulb light cluster socket, the entire body raised on an integrated fluted trumpet neck pedestal terminating on a molded square plinth base with gilded borders

Details

Porcelain, glaze, gold leaf

25 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches

Condition

Good functional condition; operational at the time of cataloging with both single-light sockets working, but one lamp assembly requires tightening to its base structure, alongside minor localized rubbing to the gilded accents and subtle surface dirt accumulation within the deep crevices of the molded porcelain relief figures
