Syrian Incense Burner
Description
An antique Syrian brass incense burner of cylindrical form, the exterior surface hand-engraved with intricate floral and foliate motifs within rectangular panels accented by geometric chevron borders, the vessel supported by six integral legs featuring rounded pad-style feet and turned knop terminals at the upper rim, characteristic of Islamic metalwork from the Damascus region.

Condition
The incense burner remains in overall good condition with a uniform aged patina throughout, lacking its original lid and exhibiting scattered surface oxidation, light abrasions, and localized areas of verdigris consistent with use, though no technical analysis of the brass alloy has been performed at the time of cataloging.
