Images include Queen Victoria (the visitor), statue of the Prince Consort, the Queen at the Pavilion, & 2 plates with 8 oval portraits; photograph of the Queen Victoria is by W. & D. Downey, the others are attributed to R. W. Thrupp, New Street, Birmingham. The text consists of details from newspapers reports of the royal visit to Wolverhampton in November 1866 for the Queen to unveil a statue of Prince Albert. Inscription on the flyleaf to a patron, compliments of the publisher. Light wear to decorated cover. Photographs & interior good.
