Description
An assembled collection of Hindu and Buddhist devotional sculptures consisting of a multi-armed Himalayan deity representing the goddess Mahagauri depicted standing upright atop a stylized riding cow or bull figure on a flat, soot-covered rectangular base plate, a seated figure of the Bodhisattva Green Tara resting in Lalitasana on a double-lotus plinth with hands held in traditional mudras and a hollow underside revealing iron armature wires alongside orange clay investment core remnants from lost-wax casting, and a small standing Japanese export figure of an acolyte child deity dressed in flowing robes with a solid flat underside stamped "JAPAN"
Details
Bronze, copper alloy, iron armature wire, clay investment core, enamel pigment
largest: 17 x 10 x 6 1/2 inches

Condition
Good condition; generalized surface oxidation, typical casting pits, and shallow surface abrasions across all three metal structures, accompanied by minor tarnish build-up within the recessed details of the crowns, structural iron armature rust within the hollow seated figure, and significant black paint or enamel losses across the underside of the stamped Japanese trade figure.
