This title appeared in several editions; this one is notable for its photographic illustrations. The frontispiece is a "Photograph of Burroughes & Watts Stock of Ivory Billiards Balls", which represented the product of 2000 elephants; the image is marked in the negative as an "Autotype". There follow an additional six photographic illustrations relating to techniques, and a number of color diagrams of ball patterns on the table. Inner front hinge lightly cracked. Overall clean and good.
