Ralph Della-Volpe

Ralph Della Volpe once called painting “as natural as breath.” His deep love for the medium shines through his oeuvre, which evolved significantly over his sixty years of art practice. Though his work is remarkably varied, spanning bold abstractions, serene beach scenes, and somber figuration, his careful consideration of color and form remain steadfast. Della Volpe’s paintings have been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum and the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C., among several other prominent institutions.
