In a small apartment in Kew Gardens, Queens, partially hidden under piles of vintage modern furniture and wrapped in yellowed pages of the New York Times from the 1970s, these four Tiffany lamps were a part of an incredible trove that eventually sold for well over $500,000. The turtleback tile hanging lantern (pictured lower left) was the most rare and unusual of the group

— it alone sold for $117,000
