New York: 1887. 1 volume containing #1 + together with 17 other issues of the same work, numbers 1-18 only, folio (  ). Section titles, numerous Illustrations (some full-page). (Marginal tears, title to number 1 and a few other leaves chipped). Contemporary half leather (worn, repairs to joints). Contemporary half leather binding (worn, covers splitting, etc.) Provenance: Harry Leonard , Wilkes Barre, Penn. (inscription and various stamps).

The first part is devoted entirely to baseball and is considered to have been ‘the first base-ball humor book’ (Ken Leach, bookdealer).
